The Georgia Debate Union won the American Debate Associaiton national championship tournament, held at UGA, this past weekend. More information about the team's historic accomplishment can be found here: Go Dawgs! 
Congratulations to Georgia HH - Alyssa Hoover and Tripp Haskins - for securing a bid as the third UGA team to qualify for the 2019 National Debate Tournament! They are one of only 6 third teams competing at this year's NDT in Minneapolis. This marks the second consecutive year UGA has qualified three teams to the NDT. As of this week, UGA is ranked first in all three college debate organizational rankings - the American Debate Association, the Cross-Examination Debate Association, and the National Debate tournament - ahead of Harvard, Wake Forest, Emory, Michigan, Northwestern, among hundreds of other institutions. he University of Georgia will be debating at the 2018 Kentucky Round Robin. The rising senior team of Nathan Rice and Johnnie Stupek will be representing UGA and the Georgia Debate Union at the 2018 Run for the Roses at the University of Kentucky, other wise known as the Kentucky Round Robin.  It will take place in late September.   The Kentucky Round Robin features the top 7 returning teams in the nation.  The other 6 teams…

The teams of Advait Ramanan/Swapnil Agrawal and Nathan Rice/Johnnie Stupek both earned first round "at large" bids to the 72nd National Debate Tournament recently held at Wichita State University.
