UGA has made Kiplinger's "Best Value" list for U.S public colleges!  It places 10th in the nation, underscoring its improving academic profile and its great overall value (i.e. little debt, scholarship/aid opportunities, etc.).   You can read about the ranking here. Go Dawgs!

The Georgia Debate Union's season began this past weekend at Georgia State University. The renaissance of downtown Athens, Georgia has been featured in the New York Times.   Always a wonderful place, the downtown area has recently experienced a cultural, financial, and social revival.  It's no longer just a college town with great music - it's got a little bit of everything. Congratulations to Shunta Jordan a member of the University of Georgia Alumni Association’s 40 Under 40 class of 2013!  Shunta is a highly successful debate coach and teacher at Pace Academy.  We are excited that an alumnus of the debate program has been recognized for her contributions to the interscholastic debate community and the Pace academic community.
