UGA had a strong first semester, earning the top ranking in the Southeast from the Cross Examination Debate Association. The team would like to thank our debaters, coaches, and alumni for helping to make this possible.  The team is now on the home stretch. The Georgia Debate Union is proud to participate in a perrenial debate. The Great Debate between Booker T. Washington's economic theory and W.E.B. Dubois' education theory will be applied to the contemporary times.  The debate will be held on February 21, 2013 in Demosthenian Hall at 5 pm. Spread the word about the Georgia Debate Institutes!  GDI 2013 has two sessions:  One Week: Public Forum (June 23-29, 2013) $850 Two Week: Policy and Public Forum (June 16-29, 2013) $1700 Debaters who apply and make a deposit by May 1st will receive a $100/week discount!
