The Department of Communication Studies is Dedicated to Understanding and Enriching Human Interaction

Communication is the human infrastructure of everyday personal, public and political life. By embracing both social scientific and humanistic approaches to communication, our undergraduate and graduate programs provide students with the knowledge to understand and the skills to enrich human interaction in these different contexts. Our undergraduate and graduate curriculum offers particular strength in the theory and practice of interpersonal communication, health communication, political rhetoric, and public culture.
