Dr. Thomas Lessl has been granted the status of Professor Emeritus by President Jere Morehead and the University of Georgia. A beloved teacher and exacting scholar, Dr. Lessl taught at the university since 1985. He retired in August of this year.

Congratulations to Rachel Bailey, a current Communication Studies PhD candidate, on her new position! Rachel has accepted a Lecturer position at the University of Maryland in their Department of Communication. She will be teaching Oral Communication in Fall 2023.
