I did my undergraduate studies at Christopher Newport University, where I majored in Communication and Philosophy. More recently, I completed my Master of Arts at Wake Forest University. I study mostly political and cultural rhetoric; I specialize primarily in collective memory and rhetoric of history, race and whiteness, and popular cultural criticism.
