Cone, the Cone Scholarship recognizes the outstanding achievement of a Communication Studies major with a tuition scholarship for the fall semester. All majors are eligible to apply regardless of religious affiliation. The award for Spring 2020 will be $1000.00. Applicants must, therefore, be enrolled in Spring 2020 to be eligible for the award.
The deadline for self-nominations is October 31, 2019.
Communication Studies majors wishing to be considered for the award must submit a packet of materials that includes the following:
- A letter of self-nomination that describes the student’s outstanding academic achievements and commitment to the discipline of Communication Studies;
- Documentation of (a) overall GPA and (b) GPA in the major;

A formal announcement of the award will be made at the Fall Public Speaking Contest in November, date TBA.
