CommDawg Accepted To SSCA Undergraduate Honors Conference

UGA CommDawg Lawton Harris’s paper was recently accepted to the 32nd annual Theodore Clevenger Undergraduate Honors Conference (UHC). The UHC takes place during the Southern States Communication Association (SSCA)'s annual meeting in Greenville, SC, April 6-10, 2022, and serves as an opportunity for outstanding undergraduates to present research and engage in scholarly discussions with faculty and fellow students in communication studies. The title of Lawton's paper is “An Analysis of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Speech on July 23rd, 2020: Challenging Misogyny Like a Lady.” Lawton developed this paper during the Summer 2021 semester in COMM 3300: Introduction to Rhetorical Criticism with Kesha James. Lawton's travel will be partially supported by the Logue Travel Fund. Congratulations to Lawton Harris!
