Congratulations Willson Center Graduate Research Award Recipients!

The department of Communication Studies is proud to recognize graduate students Nathan Rothenbaum and Alex Morales for being granted Graduate Research Awards by the Willson Center. The Willson Center for Humanities and Arts provides support toward research‐related expenses for arts and humanities projects that are essential components of a graduate degree program. Both Mr. Rothenbaum and Mr. Morales have designed impressive projects to earn this award.

Alex Morales' project is entitled "Archival Study of the Mont Pelerin Society at the Hoover Institute." Nathan Rothenbaum's project is entitled "Investigating the Rhetoric of Higher Orders in the Court Martial of William Calley Jr." Both recipients will also participate in the UGA Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition in the Spring.

Nathan Rothenbaum is also a recipient of the Janelle Padgett Knight Graduate Award. The award honors Janelle Padgett Knight, who was a lifelong resident of Georgia, teacher, and an avid supporter of higher education in the state. The award designation goes to the top-ranked recipient of the Willson Center's Graduate Research Award.

Congratulations to both Mr. Rothenbaum and Mr. Morales on their impressive achievements.
