Congratulations to the Communication Studies Class of 2016! Doctoral, masters and undergraduate degrees were conferred on May 12, 2016. Dr. Ed Panetta opened the ceremony and introduced Dr. Alan Dorsey, Dean of Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, who delivered words of wisdom for the graduates. Student speaker Elizabeth Trent kept the crowd entertained with a humorous and insightful speech. This year’s keynote speaker was alumnus Kim Houlne ’88, founder of Working Solutions. She encouraged graduates to follow the “three H’s of success” to guide their careers: humility, happiness, and wearing many hats. To close the event, undergraduate coordinator Dr. Roger Stahl announced the graduates’ names as they took to the stage to receive their diplomas. After the event, graduates and their families met for a reception in Demosthenian Hall and enjoyed a celebratory graduation cake. Congratulations again to all graduates and their families. Go Dawgs!
